Below are some guidelines and tips for helping other faculty members succeed at UCSC.

Mentoring Well by VPAA Herbie Lee: Tips from a 2018 workshop for mentors at UCSC.
Paying it Forward: Guidance for Mentoring Junior Scholars: A 2017 comprehensive 31-page guide by the William T. Grant foundation. Also includes sections on graduate students and postdocs.
Faculty Mentoring Toolkit: UCSF has put together a comprehensive, easy-to-read pamphlet on faculty mentoring including helpful information such as:
- Mentor Dos and Don'ts
- Evaluating your Mentee's Goals
Tips on Departmental Mentoring: a chapter by Phillips and Dennison (2015) on establishing formal, and effective, departmental mentoring.

Mutual (Network) Mentoring Guide: A comprehensive guide for establishing networks of mentors that are initiated by new faculty from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. This is the impetus for the UCSC program on pilot program on Mutual Mentoring which will be starting in 2019-2020.
