Committee on Planning and Budget

The Committee on Planning and Budget (CPB) consults and makes recommendations to the administration on the annual campus budget, FTE allocation, budget policy and all planning matters; reviews all proposals for academic program changes. Issues for CPB include managing enrollment, administrative structure, and capital planning. CPB meets on a weekly basis.

The Committee on Planning & Budget (CPB) serves in an advisory role to the Campus Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor (CPEVC) on the allocation of new faculty positions and the authorization to recruit existing divisional provisions. The committee reviews the authorization requests from the deans and summary documentation provided by the Office of Planning & Budget. CPB also consults with each dean annually. Recommendations are informed by regular consultations with the CPEVC and Vice Chancellor Planning & Budget related to start-up strategies, divisional and interdivisional plans, and allocation strategies.
