The Committee on Teaching (COT) is charged with fostering and promoting good teaching, recommending and evaluating methods of assessing teaching performance, overseeing instructional support services on campus, and advising the Academic Senate as needed. To this end, the committee provides direction to the Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning and reviews the nominations for the Excellence in Teaching Award and selects the recipients. COT meets every other week.
