ANNUAL REPORT 1998-1999
At the Fall 1998 Academic Senate meeting, the Committee on Academic Freedom’s motion on the University mail-cover policy was modified and passed by the Senate. For details see the Fall 1998 Senate Call, and the Minutes from the Fall 1998 Senate meeting (AS/SCM/245-6).
The Committee on Academic Freedom considered issues of academic freedom arising within the language program. Concerns resulting from our deliberations were communicated to the administration. With the appointment of a new chair of the program we believe that these concerns have now been addressed.
